Havering Music Makers

Who are we?

Havering Music Makers
are a Musical Theatre society based in the London Borough of Havering. We rehearse in the Romford area, mainly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We present three shows - modern musicals, musical plays, operettas and popular concerts - each year, mainly at the Queen's Theatre.

Founded in 1975, we have built up a considerable local following - up to 2,000 tickets are sold for each  main production - and have the experience, flexibility and resources to stage a very wide range of shows to the highest standards. A list of all our shows can be seen by clicking on "PAST SHOWS" on the contents bar.

Our members represent a cross-section of the population - aged from 16 to 75, students, teachers, people in Nursing, IT, Security, Accounting, Retail. Even the occasional actor or musician! Some of our members have been to Stage Schools and need experience to help them get professional work; others just want a hobby that's fun, challenging and rewarding. We hire professional Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers and Accompanists to get the very best from your talents.

The main qualification required for joining is - you have to want to!

If you can sing, act or dance - and who can't do a little of at least one of those? - we want to hear from you. If you want to share in the fun but don't want to go on stage, there's plenty of work behind the scenes. For further information, see HOW TO JOIN, or email nick@haveringmusicmakers.co.uk.
